VCA60
Voice Coil Actuator The
VCA60 is a high speed, high resolution, servo actuator. A
voice coil mounted to a cross roller bearing slide minimizes the
VCA60 friction enabling very precise control of servo commanded
force and position. Also, because the actuation force is
provide by a voice coil, as apposed to a mechanical device such as a
ball screw, belt drive, pneumatic/hydraulic cylinder, or rack &
pinion very high speed are attainable. In some applications
the rates can be as high as 10-15 Hz. This is all done with
close loop position feed back as well as force feedback.
