RoadRunner X4

RoadRunner X4 AOI System

The RoadRunner X4 is a high resolution, in-line, image acquisition system used in the PCB and assembly industries  

The X4 integrates a National Instruments (NI) motion control card, edge belt conveyor, LED line light and image acquisition card with a 4K line scan camera to produce an extremely high resolution image.  

Couple this with the DAC  interface, written using NI's Labview, and you have a very robust yet flexible system that can capture and then measure, evaluate, and report everything you'd want to know about your acquired image.

  Motion Plus Distribution

DAC is distributing motion products specifically selected to work with National Instruments line of motion control products.  DAC will also size the motor, drive, gearbox, actuator, controller, etc for a customers specific application.

National Instruments NIWeek 2007 Tradeshow

DAC will have a booth at National Instruments NIWeek 2007 in Austin, Texas from August 7-9.  Come by Booth 706 and see the Motion Plus products as well as a Fanuc 6-Axis Robot integrated with LabVIEW.

Software:

The X4 software works off recipes that define the component or feature to be inspected.  

The operator has several options on what method of inspection to use:

  • Pattern Matching

  • Blob Analysis

  • Part Orientation

  • Part Location

  • Part Presence

From the image analysis, pass/fail status is sent to the GUI as well as SPC information.

 

The X4 is SMEMA compatible, allowing the system to be inserted anywhere in an SMT line.
