RoadRunner
X4 AOI System The
RoadRunner X4 is a high resolution, in-line, image acquisition system
used in the PCB and assembly industries The
X4 integrates a National Instruments (NI) motion control card, edge
belt conveyor, LED line light and image acquisition card with a 4K line scan camera to
produce an extremely high resolution image. Couple
this with the DAC interface, written using NI's Labview, and
you have a very robust yet flexible system that can capture and then
measure, evaluate, and report everything you'd want to know about
your acquired image.

The
X4
software works off recipes that define the component or feature to
be inspected.
The
operator has several options on what method of inspection to use:

Presence
From
the image analysis, pass/fail status is sent to the GUI as well as
SPC information.
The
X4 is SMEMA compatible, allowing the system to be inserted anywhere
in an SMT line.
